S – Son of God
Today is our final letter, and the most important! Jesus IS the Son of God. This letter reminds us of the sacrifice that God made when He sent down His one and only son so that He would die on the cross for our sins. Because of that we get to have a relationship with HIM and become more like Christ, the perfect example.
PS. YES the Trinity is SO important, but for the sake of our little minds today we are focusing just on the fact that Jesus is God’s son!
Verses in the Bible about Jesus being the Son of God.
“This is real love—not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as a sacrifice to take away our sins.” 1 John 4:10
“So Jesus explained, “I tell you the truth, the Son can do nothing by himself. He does only what he sees the Father doing. Whatever the Father does, the Son also does.” John 5:19
“Then a voice from the cloud said, “This is my Son, my Chosen One. Listen to him.”” Luke 9:35
“The Good News is about his Son. In his earthly life he was born into King David’s family line, and he was shown to be the Son of God when he was raised from the dead by the power of the Holy Spirit. He is Jesus Christ our Lord.” Romans 1:3-4
““For this is how God loved the world: He gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life.” John 3:16
This is the most important attribute of Jesus! Him as the Son of God, is the reason we can have relationship with God.
