I AM The Vine
When we stay close to Jesus, The Vine, we are juicy like a grape with love but if we don't we can dry up like a raisin!

I AM The Way The Truth The Life
Three truths packed into one I AM statement! The first week we break down each one, and it just so happens that we have touched on this topics before in previous I AM statements. The second week we focus on TRUTH and why Jesus says He is the truth and some of the great truths He speaks over us!

I AM the Resurrection and Life
As teachers and parents, we get to be the ones who explain that BECAUSE Jesus resurrected from the cross, we get to have LIFE in Him! I pray that is a truth your kiddos remember forever!

I AM the Good Shepherd
Jesus calls Himself the good shepherd and it is such an amazing analogy because of the dedication that real life shepherds have. You'll find some of the characteristics throughout this lesson!

A gate. Another great analogy of who Jesus is. He is our gate into a relationship with God and into Heaven.

I AM the Light of the World
I love this metaphor and there are so many amazing examples of light in the Bible. I love the fact that God created light before there was an earthly source for it, aka the sun! HE is the light. So when Jesus calls himself the "Light of this World," He is saying that He is the source for the spiritual, and physical, light in our world!

I AM the Bread of Life
This is such a fun metaphor and so easy for us to understand. Jesus is the Bread of Life. We know what bread does, it fills our stomachs to feel SO full. Jesus desires to do that for our souls, our hearts, and our minds! I love having the kiddos eat bread during this lesson to really hit home!

I AM Intro
Here we are, our first I AM lesson! This series, and the chant that goes along with it, is so fun! I love seeing kiddos interacting with the Bible in a creative way and the seven "I AM" statements in the book of John allows just that! Jesus is so creative when describing Himself using metaphors that I love asking the kiddos what they think He means for each one! Their answers are always the best :)
