Jesus says “I AM” seven times in the book of John. Jesus loves using metaphors, and I enjoy teaching them to children! They are so fun and this series is full of fun activities to engage children.
Luckily, our audience (kiddos) have very imaginative minds and they grasp metaphors as if Jesus is pretending to be those things. As adults, we are able to read these metaphors and understand the desired characteristic of Jesus, but with kiddos it’s fun to introduce these concepts and see their imagination have fun with it!
One of my favorite things about this series is asking the kiddos why Jesus calls Himself the metaphor. I do this before I explain it and the answers they come up with are always entertaining, and thoughtful!
I’m praying you have fun with this series!
