This piece of armor is fun because shoes are an every day essential and these specific shoes are about such an amazing truth, we get to walk in peace because of the Gospel. Jesus did on the cross so that we CAN walk in peace and spread His good news everywhere!
For life size shoes simply make them out of paper and the kids can put them over their shoes. They won’t last long but you can encourage them that their own shoes are shoes of peace too!
Week 1 Supply list:
- Cheese
- Crackers
- Shoes of Peace for drawn selves
- Markers/color pencils/crayons
Prep:
- Cut cheese
- Print and cut “Craft – Shoes of Peace for drawn selves”
Week 2 Supply list:
- Different types of adults shoes (heels, cleats, flip flops, etc.)
- Nutter Butters
- Life size Shoes of Peace
- Markers/color pencils/crayons
Prep:
- Collect different types of adult shoes
- Print and cut life size “Shoes of Peace”

These activities look engaging for little ones, but simple enough for busy adults to manage. I love the idea of tracing the full size image of the child on butcher paper to add the “armor” onto. Great series for teaching the littles important truths!
