This is such a fun activity, creating a mosaic using sidewalk chalk and tape in just 3 easy steps!
Step 1:
- Put tape on the sidewalk – creating different geometric shapes.
- Get creative a make letters! (OVCA are letters of my school!)
- *Hint* – don’t use long strips of tape. Instead make short strips starting at different points on other pieces of tape.

Step 2:
- Color with sidewalk chalk inside each shape the tape made
- Choose a color theme (aka: cool colors – blue, purple & green or warm colors – red, orange & yellow)
- Or create patterns in side each shape
- *Hint* – rub chalk with fingers once you fill the space – it makes it look smoother!

Step 3:
- Remove the tape and throw away!
- *Hint* – blow the excess chalk away before removing the tape

The final result will resemble a mosaic because of the lines created by the tape!
Here is a quick video of how to!
