This is such a fun metaphor and so easy for us to understand. Jesus is the Bread of Life. We know what bread does, it fills our stomachs to feel SO full. Jesus desires to do that for our souls, our hearts, and our minds! I love having the kiddos eat bread during this lesson to really hit home!
Also, we talk about how Jesus actually filled 5,000 stomachs with a CHILD’s lunch. Another great example of how Jesus fills us in so many aspects of our lives!

Week 1 Supply list:
- I AM rhyme
- Puzzle for craft
- French bread
- Butter, jam, cheese for toppings
- Bread of life puzzle
- Markers/color pencils/crayons
- Laminated fish
- Laminated bread
- Two baskets
Prep:
- Cut French bread into pieces
- Cut “Craft – Bread of life puzzle” into fourths
- Print, cut and laminate “Game – fish & bread”
Week 2 Supply list:
- I AM rhyme
- Ritz crackers
- Goldfish crackers
- “Craft – Fish and bread”
- “Craft – Bread of life basket”
- Glue sticks
- Markers/color pencils/crayons
- Bean bags
- Box or basket
- Coloring page
Prep:
- Print “Craft – Bread of Life basket”
- Cut “Craft – Fish and bread” pieces
- Print Coloring page
- Set up area for bean bag toss
