J.E.S.U.S.

Here is a review of the J.E.S.U.S. acronym!

J – Joyful

E – Exciting

S – Safe

U – Understading

S – Son of God

Jesus is safe. He is a safe God that we can trust with our hearts, minds and life. I love teaching kiddos this so they can grow up knowing that truth and prayerfully not live in fear by trusting God. Jesus oozed safety when He was here on earth. The woman at the well was confused but didn’t run from him – staying and talking with Him, the woman who was bleeding knew she had to get near Him – even though it could have risked her life and His, and the disciples on the ship during the storm knew if they woke Him up He would keep them safe.

He allowed little children to come to Him with other adults shooed them away, I just have a feeling that kids could sense He was a safe person. I would love to give our kiddos the tools of knowing that Jesus is safe, and keeps us safe when we trust in Him!

There are plenty of verses in the Bible about God being safe.

Old Testament verses:

“The name of the Lord is a strong fortress; the godly run to Him and are safe.” Proverbs 18:10

“No wonder my heart is glad, and I rejoice. My body rests in safety.” Psalm 16:9

“In peace I will lie down and sleep, for you alone O Lord, will keep me safe.” Psalm 4:8

“This I declare about the Lord: He alone is my refuge, my place of safety; He is my God, and I trust Him.” Psalm 91:2

New Testament:

“But the Lord is faithful; He will strengthen you and guard you from the evil one.” 2 Thessalonians 3:3

“…No one can snatch them from the Father’s hand” John 10:29

“So we can say with confidence, “The Lord is my helper, so I will have no fear. What can mere people do to me?” Hebrews 13:6

And so many more! Mostly in the book of Psalms 😉

I pray this lesson creates a seed of trusting in Jesus for your littles!
